This Lent, join our Holy Family Priest Team as we explore how the Bible teaches us that Mary is the Queen of Heaven and Earth, Mother of God, the new Eve, and the new Ark of the Covenant with our Holy Family Christmas Read, Jesus and the Jewish Roots of Mary: Unveiling the Mother of the Messiah by Dr. Brant Pitre. The talks will take place at Holy Family Church from 6:30 to 7:30 pm and last about 30 minutes, with 30 minutes of discussion to follow. Deacon Ralph Poyo, founder of New Evangelization Ministries, will take you on a journey, in which we analyze God’s plan for us, the ways Satan has been working in our culture to pull us from God, the profound hope found in the Holy Spirit, and how we can ground ourselves in Christ to be his disciples. A husband, father, and grandfather, Deacon Ralph served in three different parishes as a Youth Minister and Director of Faith Formation for twenty-three years. He is passionate about sharing the truth of the Gospel in a way that captivates audiences of all ages. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Susan, and they have five grown daughters and five grandchildren. The Five First Saturdays Devotion is one of the principal points on the urgent need for mankind to offer reparation and expiate for the many injuries that the Immaculate Heart of Mary suffers from the hands of both the impious and the indifferent man. The devotion consists of: going to Confession; receiving the Sacrament of Holy Communion; saying five decades of the Rosary; and mediating for 15 minutes on the mysteries of the Rosary.
