Building the Domestic Church Parent Sessions

Genesis to Jesus from St. Paul Center

What is the Bible, where does it come from, and what is its purpose? How are Catholics supposed to read the Bible and what story does it tell? These are the ever-important questions answered in Genesis to Jesus. Join us to learn the basic Catholic principles for reading Scripture and to survey the broad outlines of the books of the Bible and their place in the story of salvation. The group meets at two times: Mondays, September 12-December 5 from 7:00 to 8:30 pm in the Holy Family South Hall OR Fridays, September 9-December 9 (excluding November 25) from 6:00 to 7:30 am in the Holy Family South Hall. Required Materials: Genesis to Jesus Workbook ($25), A Father Who Keeps His Promises by Scott Hahn ($19 if ordered through Holy Family, cheaper on Amazon), Catholic Bible, & Catechism of the Catholic Church. Our Risen Savior Fellowship

GalileeU: Finding God in the Daily Tasks & Living Catholic Social Responsibility

Praying the Liturgy of the Hours: A Practical and Informative Introduction

Do you struggle with consistency in prayer? Or finding words for prayer? Would you like to enter more into the liturgical seasons and the prayer of the universal Church? By tradition going back to early Christian times, the Liturgy of the Hours makes holy the whole course of the day and night by the praises of God. Join us as Dr. Mike Brummond, doctorate in Sacred Theology, explains the Liturgy of the Hours, the impact it can have on our spiritual life, and the practical tools to begin praying it. Dr. Brummond will speak at Holy Family from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, October 21 and 9:00 am to noon on Saturday, October 22. Six-Week Balance and Mobility Class

Mary Jo Neumann will once again help you gain strength and balance when her six-week Balance and Mobility Class returns this week. The class will be held on Mondays from 10:00 to 10:30 am on October 24-November 28. All classes will be held in the Sacred Heart School Gym, except the November 7th session, which will be held at Holy Family. The function of balance and mobility training is to help a person feel safe when moving. Participants should be able to walk without assistive devices, such as canes, walkers, and wheelchairs. Health Care Worker Sunday

Health Care Worker Sunday Holy Family will celebrate and honor all health care workers - those at hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, mental health treatment centers, nursing homes, long-term care facilities, etc. - at Mass on Sunday, October 30 at 10:00 am at Holy Family Church. All health care workers are invited to join us as we pray for their success, safety, and health at this Mass. A reception with refreshments will follow in the Fireside Room for workers and their families.

Faith Builders Club for Kids

Join us for a quick video lesson and craft to learn about the saints, our Church traditions, and your faith with our Faith Builders Club for Kids. Meet in the Gathering Space at Holy Family right after the 10:00 am Mass, and stay an extra 15 minutes for your kids to learn all about a variety of topics, the first of which will be St. Francis of Assisi. This will be targeted to families with kids from Pre-K through 6th grade but all kids are welcome! 

First Saturday Traveling Rosary for Life

The Archdiocese of Milwaukee's First Saturday Traveling Rosary for Life will come to Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church on Saturday, November 5 at 8:00 am. The morning will begin with Mass, followed by Eucharistic Adoration, Reconciliation, and the Rosary for Life from 8:30 to 9:30 am. On the first Saturday of every month, the Archdiocese works with different parishes to host a prayer service which may include Mass and/or Adoration but always includes the Rosary, asking the Blessed Virgin Mary to intercede with her son, Our Lord, for the continued protection of the unborn and support for mothers and fathers facing difficult pregnancies. All are welcome to attend.

Volunteer Appreciation Packer Party

Volunteer Appreciation Packer Party We will host a Volunteer Appreciation Packer Party on Sunday, November 6 in the Holy Family Hall following the 10:00 am Mass. We want to celebrate all of the volunteers from all of our sites. If you are an Usher, Eucharistic Minister, Lector, Cantor, Sacristan, Mass Sever, Choir member, serve on one of our many committees and commissions, mow grass, tend to flower beds, wash church linens, cut down trees and brush, volunteer making meals, volunteer with the Angel Tree program, host donut Sundays, volunteer at our festivals, help to clean the church, teach religious education, decorate the churches, lead a small group, or are part of any other volunteer activity in the parish, we want to celebrate you and your family! We will have pizza, snacks, and soda available and the Packer vs. Lions Game playing on the large wall screen in the hall. Door prizes will be drawn at half-time.
