Faith Builders Club for Kids

Kids of all ages, particularly those in grades pre-K through sixth, are invited to join us after the 10:00 am Mass at Holy Family Church on the second Sunday of the month for the parish’s fun Faith Builders Club for Kids! Children will enjoy a short mini lesson about the Catholic faith, which will include a video and a craft, while parents enjoy refreshments in the Fireside Room. Topics for this year include: September 10 - Gospel of Matthew October 8 - St. Therese of Lisieux November 12 – Pope St. Peter December 10 – The Holy Family January 14 – Baptism of Jesus February 11 – Sacred Heart of Jesus March 10 – St. Patrick April 14 – Icon of Our Lady of Perpetual Help May 12 – The Holy Spirit

Join on Tuesday, December 12 as we celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, which marks the apparitions of Mary at the hill of Tepeyac in 1531 to the convert, St. Juan Diego. We will begin the day with prayer at 5:00 am and continue our celebration at 5:00 pm with the Rosary, followed by Mass and a procession to Holy Family Hall with traditional dancing honor the Blessed Virgin Mary.     Únase el martes 12 de diciembre para celebrar la Fiesta de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, que marca las apariciones de María en el cerro del Tepeyac en 1531 al converso San Juan Diego. Quilters Group

The Holy Family Quilters meet every Tuesday morning from 8:00 to 10:00 am in the St. Mary's Church basement. All the quilts that we make go to the less fortunate people in the area. We also make lap quilts for the area nursing homes. We can use small pieces or yardage of new material to make the tops and clean blankets and mattress pads, also any sewing items.  These items can be dropped off at the church office, or call Dorothy, 921-5543, or Catherine, 539-0313 for pick up.

Every Tuesday at St. Mary Church, those in need can get a free to-go meal, canned goods, and hygiene/cleaning items through the Blessed Bites program. Items are available from 4:30 to 5:30 pm - or until meals are gone. You are invited to join dozens of men every Wednesday morning from 5:30 to 7:00 am in the Holy Family North Hall, 271 Fourth Street Way, for Men’s Group beginning September 6, 2023. The St. Ambrose Men’s Group hosts “That Man is You” every Wednesday. The morning includes a full breakfast, a video for the program at 6:00 am, and a small group discussion. That Man is You! honestly addresses the pressures and temptations that men face in our modern culture, especially those relating to their roles as husbands and fathers. The program harmonizes current social and medical science with the teachings of the Church and the wisdom of the saints to develop the vision of man fully alive! This year’s theme is “Worthy of the Call” and will focus on discovering and embracing the call to live a life worthy of the call you have received! No registration is required – you can join at any time! There is a cost of $10 for materials.. . Communal Anointing Mass

All those experiencing illness are invited to attend Holy Family Catholic Community's Anointing Service at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, December 14 at Sacred Heart Church. The sacrament, which confers God's grace through the Holy Spirit on those who are ill, can be offered more than once if a person's condition has worsened or became ill once again. It is administered to bring spiritual and even physical strength during an illness, especially near the time of death. Todos aquellos que estén enfermos están invitados a asistir a el Servicio de Unción de la Comunidad Católica de la Sagrada Familia a la 1:30 pm el jueves 14 de diciembre en la Iglesia del Sagrado Corazón. El sacramento, que confiere la gracia de Dios a través del Espíritu Santo a quienes están enfermos, se puede ofrecer más de una vez si la condición de una persona ha empeorado o ha vuelto a enfermarse. Se administra para aportar fuerza espiritual e incluso física durante una enfermedad, especialmente cerca del momento de la muerte.
