Are you struggling with grief? Holy Family will host “Grief Share,” a 13-week support group and seminar designed to help people rebuild their lives after loss. The group will meet Mondays, February 3 to April 28 from 4:00 to 5:30 pm in the Holy Family Board Room. The Holy Family Respect Life Committee will meet in Holy Family’s St. Agnes Library on Monday, April 28 at 6:00 pm. The Respect Life Committee plans prayer and activities supporting the sanctity and protection of life, from conception to natural death. New members are welcome! The Holy Family Quilters meet every Tuesday morning from 8:00 to 10:00 am in the St. Mary's Church basement. All the quilts that we make go to the less fortunate people in the area. We also make lap quilts for the area nursing homes. We can use small pieces or yardage of new material to make the tops and clean blankets and mattress pads, also any sewing items. These items can be dropped off at the church office, or call Dorothy, 920-238-0480, or Catherine, 920-539-0313 for pick up.
This is a Bible Study for looking at the upcoming Sunday Readings. Each week will use the investigations and comments of bible scholars to learn the significant insights in each set of Sunday readings. We will further discuss and share how these readings apply to us and add enrichment to our lives. A great way to prepare for Sunday Mass! Group limited to six participants. Every Tuesday at St. Mary Church, those in need can get a free to-go meal, canned goods, and hygiene/cleaning items through the Blessed Bites program. Items are available from 4:30 to 5:30 pm - or until meals are gone. All who are in need are welcome. Learn about the signs of drug and alcohol use and addiction, and how you can help your loved ones experiencing it at the "From Awareness to Action: Recognizing Substance Use in Your Family and Finding Support" presentation from FDL County Drug Court Coordinator Jennifer Laning, CSAC, on Tuesday, April 29 from 6:30 to 7:30 pm in Holy Family Hall. Laning will discuss signs that parents, grandparents, and guardians should look out for in their children, and how to identity various drugs. The presentation will also feature a talk from a member of the recovery community sharing their experience with addiction and recovery. Information will be available on resources accessible to those who are struggling with addiction and those who are in recovery.
You are invited to join dozens of men every Wednesday morning from 5:30 to 7:00 am in the Holy Family North Hall, 271 Fourth Street Way, for Men’s Group January 8 to April 30, 2025. The St. Ambrose Men’s Group hosts “That Man is You – Apostle of the New Springtime” every Wednesday. The morning includes a full breakfast, a video for the program at 6:00 am, and a small group discussion. That Man is You! honestly addresses the pressures and temptations that men face in our modern culture, especially those relating to their roles as husbands and fathers. The program harmonizes current social and medical science with the teachings of the Church and the wisdom of the saints to develop the vision of man fully alive!
