Exploring the Sunday Readings

This is a Bible Study for looking at the upcoming Sunday Readings. Each week will use the investigations and comments of bible scholars to learn the significant insights in each set of Sunday readings. We will further discuss and share how these readings apply to us and add enrichment to our lives. A great way to prepare for Sunday Mass! Group limited to six participants. Blessed Bites

Every Tuesday at St. Mary Church, those in need can get a free to-go meal, canned goods, and hygiene/cleaning items through the Blessed Bites program. Items are available from 4:30 to 5:30 pm - or until meals are gone. Lenten Priest Talk: “Jesus and the Jewish Roots of Mary: Unveiling the Mother of the Messiah”

This Lent, join our Holy Family Priest Team as we explore how the Bible teaches us that Mary is the Queen of Heaven and Earth, Mother of God, the new Eve, and the new Ark of the Covenant with our Holy Family Christmas Read, Jesus and the Jewish Roots of Mary: Unveiling the Mother of the Messiah by Dr. Brant Pitre. The talks will take place at Holy Family Church from 6:30 to 7:30 pm and last about 30 minutes, with 30 minutes of discussion to follow. The talks will be recorded and shared on our Holy Family website. Talks are as follows: Tuesday, March 11: Chapters 1-2 with Fr. Kevin Durand Tuesday, March 18: Chapters 3-4 with Fr. Men’s Group – That Man is You!

You are invited to join dozens of men every Wednesday morning from 5:30 to 7:00 am in the Holy Family North Hall, 271 Fourth Street Way, for Men’s Group January 8 to April 30, 2025.   The St. Ambrose Men’s Group hosts “That Man is You – Apostle of the New Springtime” every Wednesday. The morning includes a full breakfast, a video for the program at 6:00 am, and a small group discussion.   That Man is You! honestly addresses the pressures and temptations that men face in our modern culture, especially those relating to their roles as husbands and fathers. The program harmonizes current social and medical science with the teachings of the Church and the wisdom of the saints to develop the vision of man fully alive!   No registration is required – you can join at any time! Pray, Reconcile & Rejoice: 12 Hours of Reconciliation

On Wednesday, April 9, area priests will be available for the sacrament of Reconciliation at 11 parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Milwaukee as part of "Pray, Reconcile, and Rejoice: 12 Hours of Reconciliation." That day, people can have their confessions heard at Holy Family Church from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. Confessions in Spanish will be heard from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. The Holy Family High School Youth Group is shopping for those in need! On Wednesday, April 9, meet at Walmart, 377 N. Rolling Meadows Drive, at 6:30 pm by the pharmacy side entrance (where you will also be picked up at 8:00 pm). We will shop for those in need. Parents are welcome to attend. Catholic Charities Lenten Luncheon

Holy Family to host Catholic Charities' Lenten Luncheon Join us at Catholic Charities' Quad-Counties North Lenten Luncheon for a soup lunch with Archbishop Jeffrey Grob on Thursday, April 10 at Holy Family Church. The luncheon at Holy Family will be one of four taking place this Lent. Archbishop Grob will honor three awardees from each region with the Treasures of the Church Awards, given for their compassionate service in communities throughout southeastern Wisconsin. Those being honored this year are Tim and Maggie Patton, Fr. Pat Heppe, and First Weber Realtors Fond du Lac. Lenten Luncheons celebrate Catholic Charities mission to provide service to those in need, to advocate for justice and to call upon others to do the same. Proceeds from the luncheon go directly to help support Catholic Charities' programs and will have a positive impact in the lives of the people the organization serves, 99% of whom are affected by poverty.  The cost of $25 per person includes a lunch of soup, salad, and dessert.
