Holy Family to host Catholic Charities' Lenten Luncheon Join us at Catholic Charities' Quad-Counties North Lenten Luncheon for a soup lunch with Archbishop Jeffrey Grob on Thursday, April 10 at Holy Family Church. The luncheon at Holy Family will be one of four taking place this Lent. Archbishop Grob will honor three awardees from each region with the Treasures of the Church Awards, given for their compassionate service in communities throughout southeastern Wisconsin. Those being honored this year are Tim and Maggie Patton, Fr. Pat Heppe, and First Weber Realtors Fond du Lac. Lenten Luncheons celebrate Catholic Charities mission to provide service to those in need, to advocate for justice and to call upon others to do the same. Proceeds from the luncheon go directly to help support Catholic Charities' programs and will have a positive impact in the lives of the people the organization serves, 99% of whom are affected by poverty. Are you struggling with grief? Holy Family will host “Grief Share,” a 13-week support group and seminar designed to help people rebuild their lives after loss. The group will meet Mondays, February 3 to April 28 from 4:00 to 5:30 pm in the Holy Family Board Room. The Holy Family Quilters meet every Tuesday morning from 8:00 to 10:00 am in the St. Mary's Church basement. All the quilts that we make go to the less fortunate people in the area. We also make lap quilts for the area nursing homes. We can use small pieces or yardage of new material to make the tops and clean blankets and mattress pads, also any sewing items. These items can be dropped off at the church office, or call Dorothy, 920-238-0480, or Catherine, 920-539-0313 for pick up.
This is a Bible Study for looking at the upcoming Sunday Readings. Each week will use the investigations and comments of bible scholars to learn the significant insights in each set of Sunday readings. We will further discuss and share how these readings apply to us and add enrichment to our lives. A great way to prepare for Sunday Mass! Group limited to six participants.
