Mark your calendars for Holy Family Catholic Community’s Latin Flavor Carnival on Sunday, July 16 at Holy Family Church, 271 Fourth Street Way. The festival will begin in the Prayer Garden following the 10:00 am Mass at the church and include a variety of traditional foods from throughout Latin America, including tacos, tamales, pozole, nachos, arepas, corn cocktails, aguas frescas/fruit coolers, and sweet treats. While you enjoy delicious food, you can play carnival games, as well as listen to music from DJ Estrella and Massive Show! At 3:00 pm the Ballet Folklórico Xanharati dance group will perform, and be followed from 4:00 to 6:00 pm by the Show4Kids featuring kids’ music, dance and singing contests. Mass in Spanish will be offered at noon in the church. In the event of rain, the carnival will take place in Holy Family Hall. Admission is free, and food will be available for purchase. Those who attend are asked to park in the church’s west parking lot.
