Save the Date: One-Day Parish Mission with Dr. John Bergsma

Saturday, February  7

8:00 am – 12:45 pm

Holy Family Church

Holy Family is excited to announce that we will offer a one-day Parish Mission this February!

Dr. Bergsma is one of today’s most respected scholars, and currently serves as the Vice President of Mission at the St. Paul Center and a Professor of Theology at Franciscan University of Steubenville. He is the author of over twenty books on Scripture and the Catholic faith, including his 4-volume set of commentaries on the Sunday Mass readings entitled The Word of the Lord; and his most recent release Bible and Marriage: The Two Shall Become One Flesh, part of the Catholic Biblical Theology of the Sacraments series published by Baker Academic.

The mission will begin at 8:00 am with Mass and include two presentations, “Holy Thursday through Jewish Eyes” and “Good Friday through Jewish Eyes,” as well as a social. Confession will take place prior to the mission from 7:00 to 8:00 am and the Rosary at 7:30 am. During the mission, children in grades 1-5 are invited to attend “Lent-a-Palooza,” a morning of games, snacks, Bingo, and more from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Students in grade 6-12 are encouraged to volunteer with Lent-a-Palooza. This mission is free for parishioners, but registration is required.
